David Slaid Owuor is a Community Development Practitioner and social impact leader with over five years of experience advancing youth empowerment, civic engagement, digital literacy, mental health awareness, and community development in Kenya. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tumaini Action CBO, he leads initiatives that strengthen leadership, promote responsible citizenship, support recovery and wellness, and create opportunities for vulnerable populations.
Through strategic partnerships with government institutions, schools, civil society organizations, and development partners, David has successfully mobilized and engaged thousands of community members across Homa Bay County and beyond. His lived experience in recovery fuels his commitment to restoring hope, dignity, and resilience among individuals and communities, while his expertise in stakeholder engagement and program leadership drives sustainable, community-centered impact.
